Introducing fieldstone digital
In March 2023, Fieldstone announced it will no longer publish under the auspices of the National Audubon Society, citing John James Audubon’s history as a slave trader and outspoken white supremacist. In doing so, Fieldstone Publishing became the first company to publicly break from Audubon, joining in solidarity with the staff union of the organization, the independent chapters who have voted to drop the name Audubon, and the international community which continues to call upon the Board to remove the name Audubon from its organizational identity.
